Gracanica

The famous monastery of the Holly Virgin located a few miles south of Pristina, in Kosovo. Built in 1321. Founded by Serbian king Milutin, his wife Simonida (Byzantine Princess) and son Stefan. One of the most important monuments of the Serbian culture. Owing to historical value – frescoes, icons and architecture, it is also on UNESCO’s list of monuments belonging to the world cultural heritage.
